Mindfulness MBSR Course

Mindfulness – Based Stress Reduction (MBSR)

8 Week Course

Course Overview :

The aim of this course is to develop a strong personal foundation of mindfulness practice in daily life, and to learn new ways of handling challenging physical sensations, thoughts, emotions and life situations by helping us move towards greater balance, resilience, self-care and kindness.

Mindfulness meditation practices, including gentle movement and stretching, will be taught in a supportive group learning environment. The course is completely secular and no previous meditation experience is required. The course fee includes a set of guided practice CDs or MP3 files, a course handbook, in between session support if required, and the opportunity to deepen and integrate learning from the course with an experiential day of practice after week 7 on Saturday 17th March  in the tranquil, rural setting of Newton and Bywell Community Hall, Newton, near Stocksfield (just 15 miles from Newcastle).

Once I have received your contact details I will reply with the course application details.

Just wanted to say thank you for your support and guidance over the past 8 weeks.

I really feel I have “unfolded” over the last 8 weeks and I am taking a wonderful, new, kinder approach to myself which feels really special and I wouldn’t have got to this point without your teaching and guidance.

The most dominant concept and principle that I have taken away has been about beginning again. I have been so caught up in the past by judging myself when my mind has wandered or I have kept up my practice. The emphasis on new beginnings and starting here in this omen has been so liberating.

I have also been very much struck by the ideas developed abut loving kindness, compassion and acceptance and I am increasingly bringing these into my meditative practice.
