Practice Days

Practice Days

I hold a day of mindfulness practice once a term, to support the development of ongoing personal practice.

These silent days of mindfulness practice offer the chance to join together with others in our growing mindfulness community and to share valuable space and time for just “being”. The day is suitable for all those who have completed an 8 week MBSR or MBCT course, however recently or long ago.  A day of mindfulness practice offers the chance to renew and deepen the process of ongoing personal practice, experience new beginnings and refresh perspective. The day is held in the beautiful and tranquil rural setting of Newton and Bywell Community Hall, near Stocksfield, just 15miles from Newcastle.

The day of practice is an opportunity to be with ourselves in a way we don’t generally have or make time for, because of the many obligations, demands and general busy-ness of our daily lives. It offers valuable and nourishing time to be with ourselves, letting things be. We will practice being with what we are experiencing in the moment with gentleness, non-judgment and kindness. The invitation is to simply “have a day” – an opportunity to be with yourselves, in a spacious, wakeful and nurturing way.

For details of the next day of practice, please go to the  Course Dates page.

In today’s rush, we all think too much — seek too much — want too much — and forget about the joy of just being.
